Well I'll tell you what! On Wednesday I went to the Kelvin Club with some pals for their pal's book launch.
My buddy ordered one o' these big boss bottles of strong ale.
AND IT CAME IN A PEWTER MUG.
So I asked for one.
And my mug had naughty nude ladies on it!

I like strong ale because, duh, it's strong, and this dude was rich and punchy and just a tiny bit fruity (what a good guy!)
PLUS HE HAS A NAUGHTY NAME!
Everything about this was naughty!
Except. EXCEPT!
The whole thing kinda tasted like pewter.
The whole night my mouth tasted like pewter. But you know what, you guys? It was WORTH IT just to sit in that club under a big friendly deer's head with that ridiculous mug.

I swigged this on Toosday with STEAK again. And. TIRAMISU.
Reckon this svelte little fraulein was a good choice to go with both main meal and dessert coz she's not too sweet, not too savoury. Oh and only just a teenie bit bitter. YEOW! :O
BUT OK. SO. There are better wheat beers, you guys. We both know that! But you should still swig one of these if you get the chance!
She's nice n malty n wheaty, I reckon you guys'll be pals.

Oh yum. Yum! Wow...
My buddy and I drank this on Monday night and it was deeelish, uh huh .
I picked out the bottle...and look how pretty. Ooh Sam!
He's full of ye olde sweetness. Sam has been making his best ale since 1758 (wheww!) AND GUESS WHAT YOU GUYS? He has horses! Horses who sometimes take a load of his beer and clop to the pub!
Neigh!
Enough horsing around (ha) this beer was jolly good. Nice and tasty, and nope, not at all watery, no sir-ee.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT? I had this with spicy chilli jam and a 300 gram steak and it was the best! The best Jerry!
ANNND it turned out to be best pals with my steak meal because it is smooth and simple and doesn't steal all the tastiness away from your food. WOOHOOOO!!!
Tall cans are gr8 aren't they? Especially this tall can with a big boss dragon on the front.

Yep it restored my excitement in swig swiggin a new beer every day and night.
Rosita is kind of like a perfect gf....She's blonde and a bit sweet and you don't have to spend too much money on her.

OHH DEAR this was not a good time! I know! I'm being grumpy on my first day on the job! But don't fire me coz I'm just helping ya out :O

And anyway, how cute is the owl dude on the bottle? Huh? He's having a fun time I reckon. But the beer....ohhh the beer! It just...I don't even....it tasted like SOY SAUCE basically.

Um.

I'm not sure what I was expecting from a coffee-flavoured beer. HA. 

I don't know!! 

It's thick! And bitter! And black! And it's got a beige head that looks kinda appropriately like the crema on an espresso. Can you see it? Looks just like a coffee, right? 

So I think this is typical of stout beer, but but but there was just something ick about the Hitachino, like a burnt aftertaste?

Like burnt toast? Ack!

I went to Von Haus just to swig this and then I drank the whole thing, ha!. Partly coz I wanted to take my lil owl pal home with me and partly coz I forked out 12 bucks for him!

For 330ml of beer! 

WHOOPS.

I gotta be fair, it has a cool alcohol content of 7.5% AND I chatted to a few folks who lurved it.. NOOO BUT I think I'll be keeping my two favourite beverages separate from now on THANKYOU VERY MUCH!
